I like to consider myself a morning person. I wake up early and take my time to get ready for the day. Every morning I have the same mundane, yet content, routine. Wake up, make myself a water with fresh squeezed lemon juice and fresh ginger slices, make my breakfast smoothie, sit on the couch and watch the morning news, get ready for work and then I’m out the door!
However, every once in awhile I like to spice things up with the breakfast component of my mornings. My latest addiction is my breakfast smoothie. It is filled with nutritious fruits, vegetables, fibre, protein, fats, omegas, amino acids and all the essentials to start my day with a boost of energy!
- 1 cup Spinach
- 1 cup Strawberries
- 1 cup Almond Milk
- 4 tbsp. Manitoba’s Harvest Hemp Protein Powder
- 1 tbsp. Flax Meal
- 1 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. Coconut Oil
Okay, so I don’t think I need to explain this one, but what the heck! Place all ingredients in a blender and blend away!
